Who uses it
01 — COMMUTER
Commuters open the app, select their destination, and signal from their waiting stop. They see which taxis are approaching and how far away they are. After boarding, they scan the driver's QR code and pay via Ozow bank-to-bank EFT — no cash needed.
02 — DRIVER
Drivers see live commuter demand at every stop on their route — how many people are waiting and where they are going. They accept payments via a destination QR code displayed in the vehicle. Earnings are paid out automatically to their bank account on their chosen schedule.
03 — ASSOCIATION
Association administrators approve drivers, manage routes, and monitor live commuter demand across all active routes within their association. No paperwork. No phone calls.

The commuter selects their destination in the KasiEkonomi app and boards the taxi at their stop.
Scan the driver's QR code
The driver displays a destination-specific QR code inside the vehicle. The commuter scans it with the KasiEkonomi app to initiate payment.
Pay via Ozow bank-to-bank EFT
The commuter completes payment through Ozow's secure EFT gateway. No card required. Funds are held in the Africa Leading Solutions merchant float.
Driver receives automatic payout
Collected fares are automatically paid out to the driver's registered bank account via Ozow Payouts on their chosen schedule — daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
Full audit trail retained
Every transaction is recorded in real time against the driver, commuter, route, and destination. Africa Leading Solutions retains full records for compliance and dispute resolution.

KasiEkonomi is developed and operated by Africa Leading Solutions, a registered South African company based in Rustenburg, North West Province.
The platform does not change how the minibus taxi industry operates. Commuters still wait at their stops. Drivers still run their routes. KasiEkonomi adds a digital layer — real-time information and cashless payment — on top of the system that already works.
The pilot route is Sondela Meriti in Rustenburg, operating in partnership with the BAMTA taxi association. The platform is designed to scale across associations, routes, and provinces.
